“TRADING MUSEUM COMME des GARÇONS” EXCLUSIVEとしてリリースされた全7型をベースに、インラインアイテム用に再編集したコレクション。

伝説的なロンドンのブティック「ACME ATTRACTIONS」の文化的背景をオマージュした一枚。

ACME ATTRACTIONSは、THE CLASH / SEX PISTOLS / THE SLITSをはじめとするロンドンパンクスが集いクリエイティブなアイデアを交換し合うサロン的役割を果たした。

400m先にはVivienne WestwoodとMalcolm McLarenによる「SEX」が同時期にオープンし、両店を行き来するパンクス達が日々集い、キングスロードはUKパンクシーンの震源地となった。

店内ではDON LETTSがセレクトするレゲエが爆音で流れ、その音に惹かれたアーティスト、例えば、Patti SmithやBOB MARLEYなどその他多くの才能が出会い、異なる文化が衝突する交差点としてロンドンに新しい流れを生み出し、のちのポストパンクへと繋がる重要な役割を果たした。

音楽とファッションが融合した当時の空気感を、TAGS WKGPTYが独自の視点で動きと緊張感のあるビジュアルに落とし込み、ACMEが放った自由な精神とエネルギーを現代的アプローチで昇華させた。

Collection based on a total of seven models released in August 2025 as TRADING MUSEUM COMME des GARÇONS EXCLUSIVE and re-edited for in-line items. 

This piece pays homage to the cultural background of the legendary London boutique ACME ATTRACTIONS.

ACME ATTRACTIONS served as a salon where London punks, including THE CLASH, SEX PISTOLS, and THE SLITS, gathered to exchange creative ideas.

Just 400 metres away, SEX, co-founded by Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren, opened around the same time. Kings Road became the epicentre of the UK punk scene, with punks flocking daily between the two stores.

Inside the store, reggae selected by Don Letts blasted at full volume, attracting artists like Patti Smith and Bob Marley, among many others.

This intersection of cultures sparked a new wave in London, playing a crucial role in shaping the post-punk/new wave movement that followed.
TAGS WKGPTY captured the fusion of music and fashion in a dynamic and tense visual style, while ACMEelevated the free spirit and energy of the era with a modern approach.
